Application Requirements:

  1. You must agree to a criminal background check and a professional/personal reference check (to be conducted at the expense of CROSS, Inc). In addition, your application may be disqualified from consideration based on the outcome of the criminal background check, the reference check or both.
  2. For most positions at CROSS, you must have a current drivers license.
  3. Most positions will require a minimum age of 18 unless otherwise noted due to the nature, responsibility and  requirements for the given position.

Current Job Openings: 

  1. Direct Care Staff Opening: Part time and Full time shifts available at the Cumberland Vista home. This home is located at 1073 York Road Dillsburg, PA 17019. Each position starts at $15.00 per hour.
  2. Direct Care Staff Opening: Part time shifts are available at the Grace Home location. This home is located at 712 Pinola Road Shippensburg, PA 17257. Each position starts at $15.00 per hour.

The responsibilities of a Direct Support Staff can be wide-ranging. This is due to the many different client needs that directly relate to the individuals we serve. The work Direct Support Staff perform here at CROSS will depend on the specific person(s) they are assisting and that individual’s needs. Some typical job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Helping clients with daily tasks, including cooking, shopping, attending appointments, housekeeping, and medication management
  • Assisting clients with daily living skills such as: dressing, bathing, personal hygiene and more
  • Providing emotional support
  • Using creative thinking for accommodations to help people with disabilities be more independent
  • Teaching and encouraging the people we serve on how to perform certain tasks independently
  • Keeping track of a our residents personal information, including things like casework notes, daily activities, medication logs, financial documents, and behavioral assessments
  • Teaching important life skills, like how to interact with others, ask for help, manage finances and more
  • Transporting clients to appointments or other activities outside the home
  • Assisting in keeping a safe living space
